CAMARET-SUR-MER
The tower forms part of the defences of the Gulf of Brest, which were realised by Vauban from 1683. Designed by Vauban in 1689, it was constructed from 1693 to 1695. In 1795, the second Guardroom was replaced by a cannonball oven. The tower became municipal property in 1904.
