Tour de France - Le Grand Depart

Back from Metz on Saturday evening to find that the Tour de France was passing the end of our road. A chance not to be missed, we spent two hours on Sunday morning watching the Caravanne then waiting for the peleton. Two hours waiting, all over in six seconds. Still - it was fun. Here are some photos that I took (and I'm still rubbish at photographing moving objects).

The early morning crowd.

That is a Lancaster and a Spitfire, honest.

The crowd, just as the peleton arrives.

The crowd after the peleton has gone through.
